Greenhead nestles in the North Pennines and lies within the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall and within a stone’s throw of the Northumberland National Park, yet close to the Cumbrian border. This former railway cottage is in an ideal location for exploring both Northumberland and Cumbria. The Pennine Way, the UK’s first National Trail, passes through Greenhead and within a 5-minute walk of the village. Hadrian’s Wall marches through Walltown Craggs, a much loved beauty spot.
