Dolgellau 5.9 miles.
Tucked away on the outskirts of Bontddu near Dolgellau, Gwynedd, is this fantastic studio-style pod, Briallen.
Enjoying a superb location on an 850-acre hill farm within the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, surrounded by rolling countryside and a neighbouring stream, Briallen is a wonderful pet-friendly choice for couples seeking a romantic escape.
Be greeted by a front decked area with table and chairs, a perfect spot to enjoy alfresco dining by the fire pit or relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub, complimented by the sounds of the flowing stream.
Step into the open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen, dining table for two, and a sitting area with plush sofa and a Smart TV.
The pod also features Bluetooth speakers installed in the ceiling so you can listen to your favourite tunes! After a day of exploring, freshen up in the well-appointed shower room, before climbing into the sumptuous double bed to catch your rest.
For your local amenities, head into Dolgellau, where you can dine at Royal Ship, pick-up essentials at the convenience store, picnic in Dolgellau Park, or stroll along the Afon Mawddach.
There are also footpaths direct from your door and plenty of hikes in the Rhinog mountain range, including incredible views from the summit of Rhinog Fawr, whilst historians should follow the Clogau trail to the iconic Clogau gold mine.
Wildlife lovers will find plenty to discover in Eryri (Snowdonia), such as RSPB Mawddach Woodlands, and Coed Ganllwyd National Nature Reserve.
For a day at the beach, make the drive over to Fairbourne, where you can bathe on the sands, paddle the shores, hop aboard the Fairbourne Railway for scenic rides, test out your swing at the excellent golf club or tuck-in to a meal at Penrhyn Bar & Grill.
A wealth of scenic walking and cycling trails are available from your front door, where further afield, you can take on the famous Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Peak, renowned for being the highest mountain in England and Wales, enjoy underground mine tours at Zip World Llechwedd, or explore the World Heritage Site of Dinorwig Quarry.
