3 years ago I moved to this beautiful country myself with my animals and still not a day goes by that I am not "flashed" by nature and the weather.... Whether it's spring, which starts later here but quickly brings everything to life, summer with its endless warm midsummer nights, autumn with its endless variety of berries and mushrooms or winter, which is anything but dark and casts a spell over you every day with the dry, pleasant cold, the glistening snow, the bright nights, days full of pastel colours in the sky or the indescribably beautiful aurora lights that regularly dance in the sky at night...
But also the feeling that this country radiates.... the endless expanses... no houses for kilometres and empty roads along lakes, through clean forests and endless nature where sometimes you won't see a car for miles. A country where you feel that time passes more slowly ... you perceive and feel nature and the moment in a completely different way.... a feeling that recharges your soul and your mind enjoys the silence and tranquillity and you just want to stay in the moment. In harmony with nature... Nowhere else have I experienced such respect for nature and animals as here. You immerse yourself in a different world, a slow and peaceful one in which you can let your soul dangle, whether by the lake after a sauna session, by the campfire, hiking with your four-legged friend or family or simply gazing into the distance... an endless possibility of leisure activities all year round that will make every day here unforgettable and special and you will experience the meaning of "flashed" and merging with nature on a whole new level! And before I continue to rave, I would like to introduce you to our beautiful farm in North Karelia where ALL are welcome! Even your four-legged friends, whether dogs, cats or horses, be it one dog or 20, make no difference to us and you can be absolutely honest with us and will not be judged! Your four-legged friends will NOT be charged extra !
The farm consists of the main house which has 170 square metres and extends over 2 floors. It has been freshly renovated and is currently being refurnished in colonial style, of course we pay attention to an extra dog sofa or an extra child-friendly furnishing that really fulfils all needs! It offers space for up to 12 people! It has a large American kitchen, a bathroom with shower and toilet and an absolute rarity a second bathroom with a whirlpool bath and second toilet! And of course a typical outdoor sauna! There are also several large brick-built Finnish fireplaces to create the right cosy, warm ambience and invite you to enjoy rustic cooking! There is also an air heat pump and underfloor heating. An outbuilding with stables also invites equestrian guests! And of course one of the absolute highlights: 5000 square metres of 1.20m high dog-proof fenced garden awaits you! And another 5000 square metres and endless meadows and woods around the house! Another highlight is probably the sandy beach on the lake which is in the immediate vicinity (500m)! And sandy beaches on lakes are not a matter of course here. In addition, of course, with Grüllhütte typically Finnish for everyone to use!
So you can expect a small paradise with only one neighbour in an otherwise idyllic secluded location in nature in North Karelia not far from the big city of Joensuu. You are central and yet absolutely at one with nature and its charms.
We will gradually add to the text and also upload more pictures and are already looking forward to welcoming you to our cosy cottage in the future!
The fireplace is just the thing for cosy holiday moments.
The well-equipped kitchen has a fridge, a hob for cooking and even a dishwasher.
You will also find a washing machine in the accommodation, which you can use.
A car parking space is available for our guests. Our holiday home is child-friendly: baby cot and high chair are available. The accommodation is ideally located for beach lovers.
This is also great: bed linen and towels are included. Pets are allowed in this holiday home.

Water is free of charge through the own well. Electricity consumption of up to 50 euros is included.
